TMA Guest Lecture : Hon'ble Mr. Justice Ashok Menon
Thrissur Management Association had the privilege of hosting an inspiring guest lecture by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Ashok Menon, former Judge of the Kerala High Court, on the fundamental principles of integrity and ethical conduct in professional and personal life.
Justice Ashok Menon served the Kerala High Court with distinction, having been elevated as an Additional Judge on November 30, 2017, and appointed as a Permanent Judge on August 29, 2019. He retired from judicial service in August 2021, leaving behind a legacy of principled jurisprudence and commitment to justice.
During the lecture, Justice Menon delivered a profoundly moving discourse on the essence of integrity, emphasizing that honesty and ethical conduct must emanate from within rather than being imposed through fear of punishment. He articulated that true integrity lies in the values we uphold even when our actions are unobserved—a principle that transcends professional boundaries and defines character itself.
His message resonated as a quiet yet powerful call to lead with conscience and heart, reminding members that ethical leadership is not merely about adherence to rules, but about cultivating an internal moral compass that guides decisions in all circumstances. The lecture challenged participants to reflect deeply on their own ethical foundations and the values they embody in their daily conduct.
The session left a lasting impression on all attendees, offering timeless wisdom that extended far beyond the conclusion of the talk. Justice Menon's emphasis on intrinsic integrity as the cornerstone of meaningful leadership provided members with valuable perspective for both their professional and personal lives.
