The Dr. K Gopalan Memorial Lecture & Award is a prestigious initiative by the Thrissur Management Association (TMA), established after the merger of ALERT Academy with TMA in 2021-22. ALERT Academy was a pioneering institution in education and administrative service exam training, and this award continues its legacy by recognizing outstanding contributions to the field of education in Thrissur district.

Honoring Excellence in Education
The award is conferred annually upon individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to education, innovation in teaching methodologies, and contributions to shaping future leaders. Past recipients include renowned educators Mrs. Nalini Chandran, Sri Ajith Raja, Sri VP Nandakumar, and Sri VV Joseph.

The Memorial Lecture Series
As part of this initiative, TMA organizes the Dr. K Gopalan Memorial Lecture, where eminent thought leaders share insights on education, leadership, and societal progress. In 2025, we had the honor of hosting Prof. Emeritus Eluvathingal D. Jemmis (Padma Shri Awardee), former faculty of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, who delivered a thought-provoking lecture titled "Early Questions."
